AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball senior guards Jay Battle (Gahanna/Lincoln) and Kyle Nader (Vermilion) have been selected to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.
Battle, who is having his best season as a Yellow Jacket, has earned his third All-OAC honor after being slated to the first-team. He is averaging a career-best 17.7 points per contest, good for third in the OAC and has marked a career-high 31 points in two separate contests this year. He averages 3.2 assists per game and is sixth in the OAC with 87 total assists. For his career Battle has 1,480 points, enough to land him at No. 14 on BW's All-Time Scoring list, 366 assists, 107 rebounds and 97 steals.
Nader earns his first All-OAC honor with an honorable mention selection. Nader is having his best campaign in the Brown and Gold after averaging a career-best 8.5 points per game. This season he has accumulated 36 steals, tied for seventh in the OAC, and 18 blocks that has him tied at eighth in the conference. The guard has posted single-game career-best in four categories this season: 18 points, nine rebounds, six assists and four steals. For his career, Nader has 454 points, 265 rebounds, 116 assists, 65 steals and 39 blocks.
BW will play in the OAC Championship game on Saturday, February 23 against the University of Mount Union at 7:30 p.m.
