ACADEMIC MAJOR: Exercise Science/ Pre-Physical Therapy/ Physicians Assistant Program

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Tyler Moeglin played four seasons of football at Baldwin Wallace University. The first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference player and four-year varsity student-athlete was a two-year starter at quarterback and earned three varsity letters.

ATHLETIC HONORS:   As a junior in 2014-2015, Tyler was named as the 37th Annual Lee Tressel Shrine Classic Game BW Most Valuable Player Award for his efforts versus Ohio Northern University on September 20, 2014. He also earned Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors on Nov. 1, 2014 for his efforts in a win at Capital University.

As a senior in 2015-2016, Tyler earned first-team All-OAC honors, was the Dick Miller Family & Community Day Player of the Game versus John Carroll University and the 38th Annual Lee Tressel Shrine Classic BW Most Valuable Player of the Game versus Wilmington College.

ACADEMICALLY:  Tyler was a strong student who maintained a better than 3.0 grade point average.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION:   Tyler played four years of football, earned three varsity letters, received first-team All-OAC honors and was a team captain as a senior in 2015. He played four years on the varsity and helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 25-15 record with a .625 winning percentage. He began his career as a freshman quarterback (and holder for the placekicker), switched to wide receiver as a sophomore, but had to move back to QB due to injuries to two other QB's. He was the starting QB as both a junior and senior.

Individually, Tyler received numerous honors (see above). Statistically, he completed 273 of 439 passes for 62.2 percent for 3,240 yards and 25 TD's with just eight interceptions. He also ran for 1,344 yards in 296 attempts with 20 TD's. Tyler also caught 10 passes for 171 yards and a TD.

As a freshman in 2012-2013, Tyler played his first season of football and received a certificate of participation. He saw playing time at wide receiver and quarterback on the junior varsity team. BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Tyler played his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in all 10 games and played multiple positions, including quarterback and wide receiver. He started the final game of the season at QB versus nationally-ranked Heidelberg University. Tyler caught seven passes for 60 yards, ran the ball 30 times for 167 yards with one touchdown and completed 20 of 38 passes for 191 yards with two TDs and no interceptions. BW finished 6-4 overall. 

As a junior in 2014-2015, Tyler played his third season of football and earned his second letter. He was the starting QB. Tyler earned the 37th Annual Lee Tressel Shrine Classic Game BW Most Valuable Player Award for his efforts versus Ohio Northern University on September 20, 2014. He also earned Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors on Nov. 1, 2014 at Capital University. He completed 116 of 206 passes for 1,476 yards with 12 TD's and six interceptions. He also ran the ball 112 times for 438 yards and a team-leading eight TD's. He also caught a 65-yard wide0-receiver option pass for a TD. Overall, Tyler accounted for 21 TD's. BW finished 5-5 overall.

As a senior in 2015-2016, Tyler played his fourth season of football and earned his third letter. He was a team captain, the starting QB and a first-team All-OAC selection. The OAC Coaches thought so much of Tyler's all-around athletic ability that they created a first-team "Offensive Back" position for him. Tyler was the Dick Miller Family & Community Day Player of the Game versus John Carroll University and the 38th Annual Lee Tressel Shrine Classic BW Most Valuable Player versus Wilmington College. He rushed for a career-high 150 yards in a 56-20 win versus Capital University on Oct. 31, 2015. Tyler completed 137-of-195 passes for a school-record .703 completion percentage for a career-high 1,573 yards with 11 TD's and just two interceptions. He led the team in rushing with 739 yards in 144 attempts with 11 TD's, and he caught two passes for 46 yards. BW finished 7-3 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Tyler Moeglin grew up in Canton, Ohio and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School.

Tyler played four years of football and earned three letters. He ran track for four years and lettered four times. He also played basketball for four years and earned three letters.

In football as a senior, Tyler was named as a first-team All-Stark County, All-District and All-Ohio selection. He also was a Canton Repository Athlete of the Week.

In basketball as a senior, Tyler was tabbed as honorable mention All-District and All-Stark County.

In track he was a state qualifier on the 4 x 800 and 4 x 400 meter relays.

Academically, Tyler was an Honor Roll student, a member of the National Honors Society, a four-year Academic letterman and Academic All-Ohio in football and track.
