ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Accounting

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Lawrence Wolfe played four seasons of football at Baldwin Wallace University and earned three varsity letters.  The three-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference student-athlete earned All-OAC honors as a senior and the Eloise Tressel J-A-C-K-E-T Award as a junior.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Lawrence carries a 3.623 grade point average, is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. He also is a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon and Chi Sigma Alpha honor societies. As a sophomore, junior and senior, Lawrence earned Academic All-OAC honors.

ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a junior in 2014-2015, Lawrence received the Eloise Tressel J-A-C-K-E-T Award at the team's season-ending banquet. The award symbolizes the student-athlete who most embodies the characteristics of the philosophy of the Division III student-athlete and embodies the enthusiasm that Mrs. Tressel displayed for many years. As a senior in 2015-2016, Lawrence was selected honorable mention All-OAC.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION:  Lawrence played four years of football and earned three varsity letters. He started on the defensive line (alternating at times at tackle or end) for three seasons and helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 25-15 record with a .625 winning percentage. Lawrence received numerous honors (see above).

Individually, Lawrence made 86 career tackles, including 13 tackles for loss and five quarterback sacks.He also forced two fumbles and recovered another.

As a freshman in 2012, Lawrence played his first season of football and received a certificate of participation. He saw playing time on both the offensive and defensive lines for the junior varsity team. BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Lawrence played his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He saw action on the varsity team at defensive end and split the starting duties. He played in nine games and had 20 total tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks. Lawrence earned Academic All-OAC honors. BW finished 6-4 overall. 

As a junior in 2014-2015, Lawrence played his third season of football and earned his second letter. He started at defensive tackle and earned his second straight Academic All-OAC honor. Lawrence received the Eloise Tressel J-A-C-K-E-T Award at the team's season-ending banquet. He played in all 10 games at DT, made 36 total tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 QB sacks. He also had two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, two pass deflections and a QB hurry. BW finished 5-5 overall.

Aas a senior in 2015-2016, Lawrence played his fourth season of football and earned his third letter. The honorable mention All-OAC and three-time Academic All-OAC selection started at DT all 10 games and made 30 tackles, including three for loss and one QB sack. BW finished 7-3 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Lawrence Wolfe grew up in Creston, Ohio and graduated from Norwayne High School.

Lawrence played for four years of football and earned three varsity letters. His high school football coach was former BW Academic All-American Joe Harbour. Lawrence also played basketball for four years and earned one varsity letter.

In football as a junior in 2010-2011, Lawrence was named honorable mention All-Ohio, first-team All-District, first-team All-Wayne County Athletic League and was voted as the Norwayne H.S. Best Defensive Lineman. As a senior in 2011-2012, he was named second-team All-Ohio, first-team All-District, first-team All-WCAL and was voted as the Norwayne H.S. Best Offensive Lieneman.

Overall, for both his academic prowess and his athletics abilities, Lawrence was named as the Norwayne H.S. 2010-2011 Student of the Year.
