ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Exercise Science/ Pre-Physical Therapy

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Tyler Burdorff played four seasons of football at Baldwin Wallace University and earned three varsity letters. Tyler was a three-year starter at middle linebacker and helped BW to a four-year record of 25-15 overall.

Tyler also was and two-time NCAA Division III All-American and national runner-up as one of the top throwers in indoor and outdoor track and field.  He earned four varsity letters. CLICK HERE to access Tyler Burdorff's track and field information.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE:  Tyler carries a 3.47 grade point average and is a Dean's List student.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Tyler was a 2016 CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America second-team selection in track and field. He also earned CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 accolades in track in 2016.

CAREER SYNOPSIS:  Tyler played four seasons of football, earned three varsity letters and was a three-year starter at middle linebacker. The 2015 team quad captain was among the top tacklers for three seasons and helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 25-15 record with a .625 winning percentage.

Individually in 32 career games, Tyler had 176 tackles, including 63 solo stops, 10 tackles for loss and 2.5 quarterback sacks. He also had two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and six pass breakups.

THROUGH-THE-YEARS:  As a freshman in 2012-2013, Tyler played his first season of football and earned a certificate of participation. He split time between the varsity and junior varsity teams at linebacker. He played in three varsity games and had two tackles. BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Tyler played his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He was the starting middle linebacker. Tyler started all 10 games and recorded 39 total tackles, including one quarterback sack and four tackles for loss, and recovered a fumble. BW finished 6-4 overall.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Tyler played his third season of football and earned his second letter. He started at MLB, was second on the team in tackles with 73, including five tackles for loss, 1.5 QB sacks, three pass breakups and one recovered fumble. BW finished 5-5 overall.

As a senior in 2015-2016, Tyler played his fourth season of football and earned his third letter. The team quad captain started at middle linebacker and recorded 62 tackles in nine games (missed the season-opener due to an injury) to rank fifth on the team. BW finished 7-3 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Tyler grew up in Painesville, Ohio and attended Riverside High School.

Tyler played football for four years and earned three letters. Tyler ran track for three years and lettered three times.

In football, Tyler was tabbed as a two-time first-team All-Premier Conference selection. He also was an All-Lake All-County selection and an honorable mention All-District pick. Tyler also received a Scholar-Athlete award from the National Football Foundation.
