Gough and Tallmadge Selected to Academic All-Ohio Women's Soccer Team

BEREA, Ohio -- Baldwin Wallace University sophomore defender Kelly Gough (Hudson) and junior goalkeeper Emily Tallmadge (Fairview, Pa.) have been named to the Ohio Soccer Coaches Association (OSCA) All-Ohio team for colleges and universities. 

Gough was a first-team pick and Tallmadge earned second-team honors.

Gough, who carries a 3.48 grade point average in education and mathematics, had an outstanding sophomore season and helped both on offense and defense.  She is making her first appearance on the Academic All-Ohio team. Gough was a first-team All-OAC selection, the OAC Defender of the Year and a third-team National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Great Lakes Region selection. Offensively, she was second on the team with seven goals and 14 points. On defense, Gough helped BW to record eight shutouts and allow just 1.18 goals-per-game. Overall, she took 33 shots, including 20 on-goal, and had a team-high four game-winners. in her first two seasons, Gough has played in 41 games, taken 61 shots, including 39 on-goal, scored nine goals and added three assists for 21 points. BW is 25-14-4 in her two seasons in Berea.

Tallmadge,who carries a 3.64 grade point average in chemistry, is making her first appearance on the Academic All-Ohio team. She was named All-OAC and Academic All-OAC for the second straight season. This season, Tallmadge posted an 11-9-3 record with eight shutouts and led BW to the OAC Championship match. In 23 matches and a little more than 2097 minutes of playing time, she allowed 1.20 goals-per-game, had a .780 save percentage and 99 saves. Entering her senior season, Tallmadge has played in 61 matches and almost 5,500 minutes, allowed 1.0 goals-pergame, has a .799 save percentage and 242 career saves. Tallmadge has 21 career shutouts.  BW is 37-17-8 in her career in goal.
