BEREA, Ohio--  Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC goalkeeper Emily Tallmadge (Fairview, Pa.) has been named the OAC Player of the-Week for the first time this season and second time in her career.

Tallmadge has made an impact in goal and helped BW to win five straight matches dating back to October 4. Last week, she posted two shutout victories against the University of Mount Union (1-0) and Wilmington College (3-0), and has tallied five shutouts this season to give her 17 in her career. She previously earned OAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors as a freshman in 2012.

Tallmadge saved three shots between the pipes at Wilmington last Saturday evening to help BW stay undefeated at 5-0 in the conference and improve to 9-6-1 overall. This season, Tallmadge has saved 63 shots.

In addition to her exploits on the field, Tallmadge is a fine student who carries a 3.79 grade point average in chemistry and earned Academic All-OAC honors last fall.  She is currently a candidate for both Academic All-OAC and CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 accolades.

This week, the Yellow Jackets are back in action for two home matches on Tressel Field inside The George Finnie Stadium beginning on Tuesday, October 21 when they host Cleveland cross-town and OAC rival John Carroll University at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 25 when BW hosts Otterbein University at 7 p.m. on Seniors' and Parents' Night.
