BW Women Lose to Allegheny (Pa.) College, 4-0

COLUMBUS, Ohio- -  The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team lost to Allegheny (Pa.) College, 4-0, on Friday evening in the first round of the Capital University Classic Tournament at Bernlohr Stadium. In the first game, Capital defeated the Milwaukee School of Engineering, 4-3.

In the first half, Allegheny (2-2) and BW (1-3) played a tough defensive battle, but the Gators managed to find the back of the net late in the first half.  Senior midfielder Jaymee Wallace scored her first goal of the season from 18 yards out at the 41:48 mark to put Allegheny up 1-0 at the half.

In the second half,  the Gators added to their lead and put the game away. Allegheny scored its second goal at the 50:11 mark when sophomore midfielder/forward Jessie Thiessen scored from 10 yards out.  The Gators scored again when junior defender/midfielder Lauren Miller gave Allegheny a 3-0 lead as she scored from 20 yards out at the top right corner at the 51:34 mark.  A few minutes later senior defender/midfielder Faith Robinson scored the fourth goal of the match at the 61:52 mark.  

The BW women will remain in Columbus, Ohio for their second and final match at the Capital Classic Tournament tomorrow afternoon, Sept. 6 against Milwaukee School of Engineering (Wisc.) at 1 p.m.
