AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore forward Danny Ruple (Berea/Berea-Midpark) has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Forward of the Year along with earning a first-team selection.

A second-team selection a season ago, Ruple earned his first Forward of the Year and first-team selection honors by leading the Yellow Jackets and the Ohio Athletic Conference in goals, points and shots, setting two school records in the process. His 19 goals and 45 points broke two separate single-season records set by Carlin Vandendriessche in 2011. For his career, Ruple has appeared in 38 games and tallied 27 goals and 13 assists for 67 points on 132 shots. The accounting and finance double major and Dean's List student earned his second varsity letter this fall.

BW finished the year with an overall record of 5-12-2 and a 1-7-1 mark in the OAC.
