BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team, under the direction of 15-year Head Coach Reid Ayers, has announced its 2017-2018 schedule.

The Yellow Jackets begin the season when it makes a trip to Erie, Pennsylvania on Saturday, September 2 to participate in the Annual Herb Lauffer Men's and Women's Memorial Tournament, hosted by Penn State Behrend (Pa.) University. BW will face Geneseo State (N.Y.) University in a first round/ semi final game at 2:30 p.m. Thechampionship game will be played on Sunday, Sept. 3.

The Yellow Jackets play their first home game on Tuesday, Sept. 12 when they host non-conference foe Allegheny (Pa.) College on Tressel Field inside The George Finnie Stadium in Berea at 7 p.m. BW will also play non-conference home games against Defiance College on Sept. 23 and Grove City (Pa.) College on Sept. 27.

BW opens the 2017 Ohio Athletic Conference schedule when its hosts rival Marietta College on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. In addition, Ayers' crew plays host to conference foes Wilmington College on October 6, Heidelberg University on Oct. 17, Ohio Northern University on Oct. 25 and Capital University on Oct 28.

The OAC Tournament will begin on Oct. 30 and will conclude on November 4, with the winner earning an automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division III National Tournament.

Ayers' youthful 2016 squad finished 6-13 overall with an OAC record of 3-6. With eight starters returning in 2017, a much-improved season is expected.
