BEREA, Ohio –
The Baldwin Wallace University baseball team is ranked No. 24 in the latest D3Baseball.com poll released on Monday, March 6, 2017.

BW (8-1) started the year with a perfect 8-0 record for the first time since 2015. The Yellow Jackets opened the season with two wins against Anderson (Ind.) University in Indianapolis. The team then traveled to New Market, Virginia and defeated Juniata (Pa.) College and swept a doubleheader against the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. On its spring trip to Florida the team is currently 3-1 with a sweep of The Elms (Mass.) College, a win against Rockford (Ill.) University and a 5-4 loss to Wheaton (Ill.) College yesterday.

In the polls, Emory (Ga.) University remains in first, Shenendoah (Va.) University jumps to second, SUNY Cortland (N.Y.) sits at third, Birmingham-Southern (Ala.) College drops back to fourth and the University of Wisconsin Whitewater moves up two spots to fifth. 

The Yellow Jackets are back in action today when they square off against NCAA Division I Central Michigan University in a non-conference game inside North Charlotte Regional Park at the Snowbird Classic. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
