Baseball Announces 2017 Schedule

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University baseball team under the direction of seventh-year Head Coach Brian Harrison opens the 2017 season when the team travels to Indianapolis, Indiana on February 18 and 19 for two non-conference games against Anderson (Ind.) University.  

The remainder of the non-conference schedule is highlighted by the trips to New Market, Virginia and Florida. BW travels to New Market to play non-conference opponents Juniata (Pa.) College and the University of Pitt-Bradford. The following week the team will make its annual spring break trip which features games against Elms (Mass.) College, Rockford (Ill.) University, Wheaton (Ill.) College, NCAA Division I Central Michigan University, Moravian (Pa.) College and two conference games against the University of Mount Union.

After the conference opener versus Mount Union in Florida, the Yellow Jackets first home conference doubleheader is on March 25 when they host cross-town rival John Carroll University on March 25 at 1 p.m.  The home conference schedule also features doubleheaders against OAC Tournament champion Marietta College, Ohio Northern University and Muskingum University.  

BW also hosts non-conferrence home games against Waynesburg (Pa.) University, No. 5-nationally ranked LaRoche (Pa.) College, Ohio Wesleyan University, Allegheny (Pa.) College, Adrian (Mich.) College, No. 14-nationally ranked The College of Wooster and Benedictine (Ill.) University.  

The OAC Tournament begins on May 13 with the championship game being contested on May 15.

BW finished the 2016 season with a 23-20 overall record, were 13-5 in OAC play and advanced to the OAC Tournament championship game.
