Laughner Selected OAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore runner Alyssa Laughner (Howard, Pa./Central Mountain) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the first time in her career.

BW competed alongside NCAA Division I, II, and III programs, as well as NAIA institutions in the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championships on Saturday, which was hosted by Cedarville University on the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Cedarville, Ohio.

Laughner was the top Yellow Jacket runner, completing the race in 23:30.7 and garnering an impressive third place finish out of all 127 Division III participants. She also earned All-Ohio honors for the first time in her career by placing amongst the top 35 runners. Laughner's performance helped BW secure third place amidst all 16 competing Division III schools.

The No. 22 nationally-ranked Yellow Jackets will return to the racecourse on Saturday, October 5 when they travel to Louisville, Kentucky to compete in the Greater Louisville Classic in Tom Sawyer State Park, hosted by the University of Louisville.
