AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the first time in her career.

The three-time All-OAC and two-time Academic All-OAC runner joins sophomore teammate Alyssa Laughner (Howard, Pa./Central Mountain) as the second Yellow Jacket to garner the weekly award this season. This also marks the second consecutive week that a BW runner has claimed the honor, as Laughner's performance at the All-Ohio Championships in Cedarville two weekends ago secured the accolade as well.

BW competed alongside 37 other NCAA Division III programs in the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday. The five-kilometer event was hosted by the University of Louisville in E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.

Brennan was the top Yellow Jacket runner, completing the race in 21:42.2 and garnering an impressive fifth place finish out of 253 total participants. Brennan's performance also helped BW secure sixth place amongst the 37 competing Division III schools.

The No. 27 nationally-ranked Yellow Jackets will return to the racecourse on Saturday, October 19 when they travel to nearby Oberlin to compete in the Inter-Regional Rumble on the Oberlin College Cross Country Course.
