Complete All-Great Lakes Region Team

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College junior midfielder Lindsey Cooper (Westerville/ New Albany) has been named as a third-team Division III All-Great Lakes Region selection by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). It is the third honor that Cooper has received this fall.

Cooper, who transferred to B-W from NCAA Division I High Point (N.C.) University in 2009, had her best season in 2011. She also was both a second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference choice and an Academic All-OAC selection. She was named to the All-OAC honor squad for the second straight season.

This season, Cooper finished second on the team in scoring with 14 points as she scored a team and career-best six goals and added two assists.  She was first on the team with three game-winning goals, shots with 51 and shots on-goal with 21. In addition to being an outstanding soccer player, Cooper is a strong student and carries a 3.3 grade point average in pre-physical therapy.

"We are pleased for both Lindsay and her family," said 10th-year Head Coach Reid Ayers. "She is a leader in the classroom, on the field and on campus. Lindsay serves as a strong role model for all of our younger student-athletes.

"Lindsay is an extremely hard-working young woman who consistently puts the goals of the team ahead of any personal recognition," continued Ayers.  "It is nice to see that she is being rewarded for being both a very good individual student-athlete and for her team effort."

Cooper helped to lead the Yellow Jackets to an 11-9 overall record.
