NEW WILMINGTON, PENNSYLVANIA -- Senior midfielder Lindsey Cooper (Westerville/ New Albany) scored a pair of goals as the Baldwin-Wallace College women's soccer team shut out Westminster (Pa.) College, 2-0, today (Saturday, September 24, 2011) in a non-conference match at Harold Burry Stadium.  The victory completed a men's and women's doubleheader sweep as the 16th-ranked Yellow Jacket men defeated Westminster, 3-1.

Following a scoreless first half, Cooper scored the first goal of the match at 63:48 the mark via an assist by sophomore defender Emily Sanders (Canton/ Jackson). Cooper then scored her second goal at 85:49 to "ice" the contest with the assist coming from sophomore midfielder Heather Keller (Parma). With the two goals, Cooper now has three this season. The assist for Sanders was her first and the fourth for Keller.

B-W dominated the Titans by outshooting them, 20-9, and outcornering them, 9-3.

In net for B-W, freshman Gabrielle Bodo (Alliance/St. Thomas Aquinas) recorded four saves to record her third win this season and her first career shutout.

With the victory, B-W improved to 5-3 overall. The loss drops the Titans to 1-5-1 overall.

The Yellow Jackets will return to the "friendly confines" of Tressel Field at The George Finnie Stadium on Tuesday, September 27 when they play host to the St. Vincent (Pa.) College in the first game of a men's and women's soccer doubleheader at 4:30 p.m.  The B-W men play the College of Mount St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. in the nightcap.

On Saturday, October 22, the Yellow Jacket men's and women's soccer teams will host Ohio Athletic Conference foe Wilmington College in a doubleheader that will be televised by SportsTime Ohio (STO).  This is the fourth straight year that B-W has televised a soccer doubleheader and will put a perfect 6-0 record on the line.
