Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth at Fall Finale Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team closed out the fall portion of its schedule as it placed fourth at the annual Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational hosted by the College of Wooster at the Wooster Country Club. 

BW was fourth of nine teams with 730 strokes on the par-72 and 5,803-yard Wooster layout.  Wooster was the champion with 671 strokes.

The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore Rachel Sladky (North Olmsted) as she fired rounds of 90 and 92 for a total of 182.  Freshman Leah Metzger (Ashland) carded rounds of 95 and 88 for a two-round total of 183.  Senior Erinn Maynard (New London) posted rounds of 91 and 92 for two-day total of 183.  Freshman Kelly Linnabary (Westerville/Central) tallied rounds of 94 and 90 for an invitational total of 184. Rounding out the top five was senior Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.) as had rounds of 93 and 97 for a total of 190

Playing as individuals were juniors Emily Hunt (Marysville) and Hannah Durst (Madison), sophomores Aubrey Baumler (Huron) and Maria Simon (Santa Cruz, BOLIVIA/Santa Cruz Cooperative School).

Hunt led the individuals as she carded rounds of 105 and 98 for a total of 203.  Simon posted rounds of 112 and 114 for a two-day total of 226.  Durst tallied rounds of 111 and 131 for a two-round total of 242.  Baumler recorded rounds of 134 and 116 for a total of 250. 

BW returns to action in March of 2019 when it begins the spring portion of its schedule during its annual spring break trip.
