ANGOLA, Ind. - The Baldwin Wallace University men's volleyball team defeated Trine (Ind.) University in straight sets in a Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League match in Hershey Hall.

BW Leaders (11-12, 5-1 MCVL)

• Senior All-MCVL outside hitter Michael Beard (Hilliard/Darby) led the way with 16 kills on a .342 hitting percentage, and added two aces, nine digs, and two block assists
• Senior Academic All-MCVL outside hitter Nick Irelan (London/Olentangy Liberty) was also in double-figures with 10 kills and grabbed five digs
• Senior All-MCVL setter Brandon Long (Hinckley/Metea Valley [Ill.]) recorded his fifth 40+ assist game of the season with a game-high 47 assists
• Junior middle hitter Reed Fisher (Freedom, Pa./Ambridge Area) defended the net with five block assists and added seven kills
• Junior All-MCVL right-side hitter Michael Devlin (Zelienople/Seneca Valley) contributed eight more kills to his weekend
• Freshman libero Jack Sullenberger (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) grabbed 13 digs for his second straight game with double-digit digs
• The Brown and Gold defense held the Thunder to a .154 hitting percentage; almost .100 points below their season average

• Senior outside hitter Ted Hofmeister and junior right-side hitter Kevin Bancaro each had 10 kills
• Senior libero Hunter Haas led all players with 15 digs
• Senior right-side hitter Nick Woolley added 27 assists
