BEREA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's volleyball team defeated Adrian (Mich.) College in straight sets as it opened Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League play in Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
BW Leaders (7-8, 1-0 MCVL)
- Junior middle hitter Reed Fisher (Freedom, Pa./Ambridge Area) had a perfect hitting percentage with eight kills on eight attempts and led the team with four block assists
- Senior All-MCVL setter Brandon Long (Hinckley/Metea Valley [Ill.]) registered a game-high 24 assists
- Freshman outside hitter Daniel Latham (Westerville/Westerville Central) finished with a team-high five digs and added four kills, two block assists, and three aces
- Senior All-MCVL outside hitter Michael Beard (Hilliard/Darby) contributed seven kills and four digs
- Freshman outside hitter Owen Huynh (Loveland) also added eight kills and three block assists
Adrian Leaders (9-8, 0-1 MCVL)
- Senior outside hitter Chase Heuer recorded a game-high 11 kills
- Senior setter Andrew Gawrisch assisted 23 times
- Senior libero Jacob Rembulat tallied a game-high nine digs
