THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - The Baldwin Wallace University men's volleyball team opened the CLU Invitational as they fell to the host No. 6 nationally ranked California Lutheran University by a score of 3-1 inside Gilbert Arena.
BW Leaders (8-9, 2-0 MCVL)
- Freshman outside hitter Daniel Latham (Westerville/Westerville Central) led the team in kills with 12, digs with eight, and total blocks with four
- Senior All-MCVL outside hitter Michael Beard (Hilliard/Darby) finished with 10 kills making it seven of his last eight matches in double-figures
- Senior All-MCVL setter Brandon Long (Hinckley/Metea Valley [Ill.]) tied a game-high 35 assists
- Freshman outside hitter Owen Huynh (Loveland) and sophomore libero Aiden Kim (Bothell, Wash./North Creek) added seven digs and six digs, respectively
- Junior middle hitter Reed Fisher (Freedom, Pa./Ambridge Area) tallied six kills and three block assists
Cal Lutheran Leaders (18-4)
- Junior setter Taylor Marks totaled a team-high 35 assists and 11 digs for the Kingsmen
- Senior outside hitter Jordan Cooper recorded a game-high 14 kills
- Junior middle hitter Borys Horiuk added 11 kills
