BEREA, OHIO -- Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference guard Kevin Krakowiak (Valley City/Holy Name) was named as the OAC Men's Basketball Player-of-the Week.
Krakowiak scored 28 points and tied a school-record with eight three-pointers as the Yellow Jackets upset defending Presidents Athletic Conference champion and No.25-ranked Bethany (W.Va.), 80-75, in Berea. He canned 10-of-15 shots from the floor (66.7 percent), including 8-of-11 three-pointers (72.7%), had three rebounds and two blocked shots. Krakowiak made his first four 3-pointers and had 14 points in the first seven minutes of the contest.
The men's basketball team hosts a pair of games this week. On Tuesday, November 20, the Yellow Jackets take on the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament champion Fighting Scots of the College of Wooster at 7:30 p.m. and then host Allegheny (Pa.) College on Saturday, November 24 at 7:00 p.m.
