BEREA, OHIO --  Baldwin Wallace University junior forward Kyle Payne (Brunswick) and junior guard Kevin Krakowiak (Valley City/Holy Name) were each named as repeat selections on the 2012-2013 All-Ohio Athletic Conference men's basketball team.

Payne made the first-team after being on the second-team as a sophomore and being tabbed as an honorable mention selection as a freshman. Krakowiak made the second team for the second straight year.

For Payne, the 2010-2011 OAC Freshman of the Year, it marks his third straight selection to the All-OAC squad.  For Krakowiak, it marks his second appearance on the honor squad.  The duo led the Yellow Jackets to a 19-6 overall record this season, including 16 victories in their final 18 games with a 10-game winning streak.

Payne led the Yellow Jackets in scoring and was third in the OAC with 16.6 points-per-game, topped the team and ranked sixth in the OAC with 6.2 rebounds-per-game and was 10th in the OAC in field goal shooting at 49.6 percent on 136-of-274 attempts.  He also shot 76.6% from the foul line, had 19 assists, 14 blocked shots, 12 steals and canned nine three-pointers.

On January 16, in a 75-65 win at Heidelberg University, Payne became the 37th BW player in school history to surpass the 1,000-point mark. Entering his senior season, Payne is tied with BW Hall of Famer Dick Selgo (1947-50) for 19th all-time with 1,152 career points. He also has 409 career rebounds, 56 assists, 42 three-pointers, 39 steals and 27 blocks.

Krakowiak was second on the team and tied for 10th in the OAC in scoring at 14.6 ppg. He also grabbed 3.8 rpg. and was one of the league's best three-point shooters, including canning a school-record-tying eight in BW's season-opening 80-75 win against then 25th-ranked Bethany (W.Va.) College. He led the team with 48 three-pointers, shot 40.3% from "three-point land" on 48-of-119 attempts and was fifth in the OAC in three-pointers per game with 2.0.  Krakowiak, who set an OAC-record as a freshman for free throw shooting percentage, ranked second in the conference this season at 86.5% on 77-of-89 attempts.

Krakowiak also is headed to become the 38th Yellow Jacket to surpass 1,000 points as he will enter his senior season with 942 career points.  He also has 215 rebounds, 127 three-pointers, 98 assists, 60 steals and 26 blocked shots.

"We congratulate both Kyle and Kevin on their outstanding seasons," said Head Coach Duane Sheldon.  "Both young men and student-athletes were instrumental in the success of our season.  The good news is that both return next season and we are hoping that they will lead us to an OAC title and a spot in the 2013-2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament."
