Yellow Jacket Men's Outdoor Track Team Places Sixth at Marv Frye Invitational

DELAWARE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team placed sixth at the Marv Frye Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at the George Gautier Track at Selby Stadium.

The Yellow Jacket men scored 57 points to place sixth of 12 teams and were led by junior thrower Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside).

Burdorff won the shot put with a career-best throw of fifty-one feet and 11 and three-quarter inches (51'11.75") and hammer with a throw of 181'7". His hammer throw ranks fifth in Division III so far this season and his shot put ranks 14th.

In addition, sophomore Troy Robinson (Akron/ Garfield) placed third in the 200-meter dash in 22.62 seconds and ran the anchor leg of the fourth place 4x100-meter relay team. The quintet included freshman Theodore Washington (Orlando, Fla./ First Academy), junior All-American Ben Beidleman (Washington, D.C./ Saint Anselm's Abbey), senior Darryl Jones (Cleveland/ Villa Angela-St. Joseph) and Robinson and were timed in 42.88 seconds.

Also, freshman Kyle Hutchinson (Medina) was fourth in the pole vault at 14'0", sophomore Matt Anielski (Seven Hills/Normandy) was fourth in the discus at 141'3", freshman Ian Ramos (Norwalk) was fourth in the hammer at 159'8" and sophomore Quinn Thompson (Edinboro, Pa./ General McLane) was fourth in the javelin at 153'4".

BW is back in action on Saturday, April 11 when it returns to Delaware to compete at the annual All-Ohio Division III Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan. Field events begin at 11 a.m.
