ACADEMIC MAJOR:  Exercise Science/ Pre-Physical Therapy

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Tyler Burdorff earned his third varsity letter in football in the fall of 2014 and his third letter in track in the spring of 2015.

ACADEMIC HONORS:   Tyler carries a 3.373 grade point average and is a Dean's List student. As a junior in 2014-2015, he earned United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors.

ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Tyler earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors in indoor track in the 35-pound weight throw (third) and outdoors in the discus (second), hammer (second) and shot put (third). He also placed 14th at the 2014 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship Meet in the hammer.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Tyler was the OAC Men's Track Field Athlete of the Week on February 16, 2015. He earned All-Ohio honors indoors in both the weight throw (first) and shot put (second). He earned All-OAC honors indoors in the weight throw (second). He competed in the 35-pound weight throw at the 2015 NCAA Div. III Indoor National  Meet but did not place. Outdoors, Tyler earned All-Ohio honors in the hammer (second) and All-OAC accolades in the shot put (secondf). He placed 16th in the hammer throw at the 2015 NCAA Div. III Outdoor National Meet.

GENERAL INDOOR TRACK INFORMATION:   As a freshman in 2012-2013, Tyler competed in his first season of indoor track. He had season-bests of 47'10" in the shot put and 48'8" in the 35-pound weight throw.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Tyler competed in his second season of indoor track. He had season-bests of 50'6" in the shot put and 57'9" in the weight throw. He earned All-OAC honors in the weight throw (third) at the 2014 OAC Indoor Championship Meet.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Tyler competed in his third season of indoor track. He earned OAC Men's Track Field Athlete of the Week on February 16, 2015 for his efforts at the 2015 All-Ohio Championship Meet where he won the weight throw and had a career-best throw of 51'0.75" in the shot put (second). He earned All-Ohio honors in both events. He earned All-OAC honors in the weight throw (second). He set a career-best in the weight throw (61'9") at the Ohio Northern University "Last Chance" Meet. At the 2015 NCAA Division III National Indoor Championship Meet in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Tyler competed in the weight throw (fouled three straight times).

GENERAL OUTDOOR TRACK INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2012-2013, Tyler competed in his first season of outdoor track and earned his first letter. He had a career-best throw of 50'11.75" in the shot put and season-bests of 139'4" in the discus, 157'1" in the hammer and 149'5" in the javelin.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Tyler competed in his second season of outdoor track and earned his second letter. The 2014 NCAA Division III national qualifier earned All-OAC honors in the discus (second), hammer (second) and shot put (third) and placed 14th in the hammer at the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet at Ohio Wesleyan. Tyler had career-bests of 152'10" in the discus and 186'4" in the hammer and a season-best of 50'2.5" in the shot put.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Tyler competed in his third season of outdoor track and earned his third letter. He earned All-Ohio honors in the hammer (second) and All-OAC accolades in the shot put (secondf). Tyler placed 16th in the hammer throw with a toss of 178'9" at the 2015 NCAA Div. III Outdoor National Championship Meet.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Tyler grew up in Painesville, Ohio and graduated from Painesville Riverside High School.

Tyler played four years of football and earned three varsity letters. He also ran three seasons of track and earned three letters.

In football Tyler was tabbed as a two-time All-Premier Conference and two-time All-Lake County selection. He also earned honorable mention All-District honors.

Academically, Tyler carried a high grade point average, was a Principal's Honor Roll student, a member of the National Honors Society, a National Football Foundation (NFF) Scholar-Athlete Award winner and a member of the Riverside H.S. Riverside Number One Club.
