BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Travis Giardina is competing in his first season of indoor (winter) and outdoor (spring) track and field at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. He hopes to earn his first varsity letter.

In thefall of 2014, Travis played his first season of football and received a certificate of participation.

GENERAL INDOOR TRACK INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2014-2015, Travis is competing in his first season of indoor track.

GENERAL OUTDOOR TRACK INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2014-2015, Travis is competing in his first season of outdoor track. He hopes to earn his first varsity letter.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Travis Giardina grew up in Wampum, Pennsylvania and graduated from Mowhawk High School.  

Travis played four years of football and earned four letters. He played four years of basketball and lettered three times. He also competed in track for three years and lettered three times. Travis also played one season of baseball.

In football, Travis was a co-captain. He earned All-Midwestern Athletic Conference honors as a junior and senior and was named to the MAC Top-22. Travis  also was chosen to play in the prestigious Penn-Ohio All-Star Game. As a senior, Travis had 41 tackles, including five quarterback sacks, eightv total tackles for loss and forced three fumbles.

In basketball, Travis was a co-captain as a senior and played in the Lawrence versus Mercer County All-Star Game.

In track, Travis placed placed third in the Tri-County Championships as a sophomore and junior. He also qualified for the WPIAL (Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League) Team Championship as a sophomore and junior and for the WPIAL individual meet as a sophomore and junior.

In addition, Travis was a member of the Mohawk Peer Leaders and Lawerence County Peer Leaders. He also participated in powerlifting and helped Mohawk H.S. place sixth at the MAC Championships as both a junior and senior
