BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Ben Biedelman competed in his third season of men's track at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. The two-time (2014 and 2015) CAPITAL ONE Academic All-American and NCAA Division III All-American earned his third varsity letter. He is one of the top men's track and field student-athletes in all of Division III.

ACADEMIC HONORS:    Ben carries a 3.985 grade point average, is a Dean's List student, member of the Chi Alpha Sigma and Dayton C. Miller honoraries and a Jacket Scholar.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Ben earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors and was a first-team CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 and first-team CAPITAL ONE Division III Academic All-America selection.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Ben earned Academic All-OAC, first-team CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 and first-team CAPITAL ONE Division III Academic All-America honors for the second straight year. He also earned United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors.

ATHLETIC HONORS:     Ben is a Division III All-American. As a sophomore in 2013-2014, he placed eighth in the 200 meter dash at the 2014 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championship Meet.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Ben qualified for the 20165 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championship Meet in the 200-meter dash and placed 13th. He earned OAC Men's Indoor Track Performer of the Week honors on January 26, 2015. Ben earned All-OAC honors indoors in the 200-meter dash (second), on the 4x100-meter relay (second) and 60-meter dash (third). At the 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Meet, Ben ran on the 4x100-meter relay team that placed 12th.

RECORD-SETTER:  As a sophomore indoors in 2013-2014, Ben was a member of the school record-setting 4x200-meter relay team (1:30.18 at 2014 OAC Indoor Championship Meet). As a junior in 2014-2015, he set a Harrison Dillard Track track record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.64 seconds. He set a BW school-record with a 22.18 timing at the OAC Championship Meet.

GENERAL INDOOR TRACK INFORMATION:   As a freshman in 2012-2013, Ben competed in his first season of indoor track. He had season-bests of 6.42 seconds in the 55-meter dash, 7.35 seconds in the 60-meter dash and 22.97 in the 200-meter dash. He also competed on the 4x200-meter and 4x400-meter relay teams.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Ben competed in his second season of indoor track. He had a season-bests of 6.46 in the 55-meter dash and 23.39 in the 200 meters and career-bests of 7.26 in the 60 meters and 51.88 in the 400 meters. He earned All-OAC honors (second place) as a member of the school record-setting 4x200-meter relay team (1:30.18 at the 2014 OAC Indoor Championship Meet).

As a junior in 2014-2015, Ben competed in his third season of indoor track. He earned OAC Men's Track Performer of the Week honors on January 26, 2015 for winning two individual events, including setting a Harrison Dillard Track indoor school-record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.64 seconds, and running on a winning relay team at the BW Mid-January Meet on Jan. 23. He earned All-OAC honors indoors in the 200-meter dash (second), on the 4x100-meter relay (second) and 60-meter dash (third). Ben's 22.18-second timing in the 200 meters at the OAC Championship Meet is a BW school record. He placed 13th in the 200-meter dash at the 2015 NCAA Division III National Indoor Championship Meet in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

As a senior in 2015-2016, Ben is expected to compete in his fourth season of indoor track.

GENERAL OUTDOOR TRACK INFORMATION:   As a freshman in 2012-2013, Ben competed in his first season of outdoor track and earned his first varsity letter. He was the All-Ohio champion in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.99 seconds. He also ran a team-best time 49.69 seconds in the 400-meter dash and was second in the 100-meters at 10.88 seconds. Ben also competed on the 4x200-meter and 4x400-meter relay teams.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Ben competed in his second season of outdoor track and earned his second letter. He competed in the sprinting events. He had career-bests of 10.72 seconds in the 100-meter dash at the Ohio Wesleyan University Ron Althoff Meet, a 21.43-second timing in the 200-meter dash at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships when he placed eighth and earned Division III All-America honors, and a 49.08-second clocking in the 400 meters at the All-Ohio Meet. Ben also earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors and was a first-team CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 and Academic All-America selection..

As a junior in 2014-2015 Ben competed in his third season of outdoor track and earned his third varsity letter. He competed in the sprinting events. At the 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship Meet, Ben ran on the 12th place 4x100-meter relay team. He earned Academic All-OAC, first-team CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 and first-team CAPITAL ONE Division III Academic All-America honors (for the second straight year).

As a senior in 2015-2016, Ben is expected to compete in his fourth season of outdoor track.

FAMILY INFORMATION:  Ben's brother, Michael '16, also competes on the track team. Michael runs with Ben as a member of the 4x100 relay team.

Ben competed in four years of track and earned four varsity letters. He was named the Potomac Valley Athletic Conference Most Valuable Performer in 2011.
