ACADEMIC MAJOR:  International Studies and National Security Minor Leadership Studies

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Alex Nagy will look to compete in his second season of track at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014 following a year without competition. He has earned one varsity letter for competing as a freshman.

GENERAL INDOOR TRACK INFORMATION:  Following a season without competing, Alex enters his junior season looking to compete in his second year of indoor track. In his only season with the team, he had helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 36-7 record.

As a freshman in 2011-2012, Alex competed in his first season of indoor track and field.  He posted season-best times of 7.15 seconds in the 55-meter dash and 24.89 seconds in the 200-meter dash.

As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Alex did not compete in indoor track and field.

GENERAL OUTDOOR TRACK INFORMATION:  Following a season without competing, Alex enters his junior season looking to compete in his second year of outdoor track. In his only season with the team, he had helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 37-7 record.

As a freshman in 2011-2012, Alex competed in his first season of outdoor track and field.  At the Sparky Adams Invitational, Alex posted his season-best time in the 100-meter dash with a mark of 11.88 seconds.  While competing in the Charlotte 49er Classic and Combined Events meet, Alex posted season-best times in both the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes with times of 24.12 seconds and 55.50 seconds, respectively. His 200-meter dash time at this meet was also his career-best.

As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Alex did not compete in outdoor track and field.

DO YOU BELONG TO ANY OTHER CLUBS OR ORGANIZATIONS AT BW:  Alex is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Alex grew up in Baldwinville, New York and graduated from Charles W. Baker High School. He competed for three seasons in indoor track and earned three varsity letters. Alex also participated in outdoor track for four seasons and earned four varsity letters. He competed in cross country his senior year and earned one varsity letter.

Alex was awarded the 2010 All-League award for indoor track and also received the Coaches' Award. Alex ran a high school-best in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.63 seconds.

Academically, Alex earned the All-Scholar Athlete Award for cross country, indoor track and outdoor track as a senior.
