ACADEMIC MAJOR:  Exercise Science

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Dakota Spangler-Smith is unable to compete in his second season of track and field at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015 due to an injury. He earned a varsity letter as a freshman in 2013-2014.

GENERAL INDOOR TRACK INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2013-2014 and sophomore in 2014-2015, Dakota did not compete in indoor track.

GENERAL OUTDOOR TRACK INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2014-2015, Dakota competed in his first season of outdoor track and field and eaned his first varsity letter. The thrower had a team-best shot put of 50'5.5" and season-bests of 125'7" in the discus and 136'3" in the hammer.

As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Dakota is unable to compete due to an injury.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Dakota grew up in Port Clinton, Ohio and graduated from Port Clinton  High School.

Dakota played four years of football and lettered three times. He  participated in track and field and lettered four times.

In track, Dakota was a Regional Qualifier, placed fourth in States, earned a All-Ohio selection as a junior and was confrence champion his senior year. He also holds the Port Clinton's throw record in the shot put at 59 feet and 6.5 inches.

Dakota was the President of Leadership Council his senior year.
