Eddy and Beidleman Runner-Ups, BW Takes Sixth at OAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships

BEXLEY, Ohio -- Senior All-American multi-event athlete Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) and junior sprinter Ben Beidleman (Washington, D.C. / St. Anselm's Abbey) each were a runner-up as the Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team finished sixth at the 2015 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Meet hosted by Capital University in the Capital Center.

The Yellow Jackets were sixth of 10 teams with 60 points.

Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) was the runner-up and earned All-OAC honors in the high jump with a leap of 6'7".  Eddy now has two All-OAC indoor honors both coming in the high jump.  Ben Beidleman was second in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.18 and third in the 60-meter dash in a career-best tying 7.05. Beidleman earns his first two career All-OAC indoor individual honors.

In addition, senior Issac Baker (Lithia, Fla./Newsome) earned his first career All-OAC indoor honor as he took third in the 500-meter run in a career-best time of 1:07.08. Sophomore Troy Robinson (Akron / Garfield) earned his first career All-OAC indoor honor as he placed third in the 200-meter dash in career-best time of 22.56.

In relay action, the 4x200-meter relay team of Robinson, Baker,  senior Ryan Weir (Lodi / Cloverleaf ) and Ben Beidleman earned All-OAC honors as they finished second in a season-best time of 1:29.85.

The NCAA Division III National Championships are on Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina hosted by Roanoke (Va.) College.
