Burdorff and Eddy Lead Men Tracksters at Jesse Owens Track and Field Classic

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Junior thrower Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside) and multi-event athlete Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) led three individuals and one relay team of the Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team at the prestigious Jesse Owens Track and Field Classic hosted by The Ohio State University on the Jesse Owens Memorial Track.

The meet was comprised of the top student-athletes from Division I, II and III as well as some of the top amateur athletes in the region.

Burdorff placed second in the hammer with a career-best throw of 191'8".   With his mark today, Burdorff now has the seventh throw in Division III. Eddy finished fifth in the pole vault with a career-best vault of 16'0.75".   With today's vault, he is now tied for sixth in Division III.

In addition, junior All-American sprinter Ben Beidleman (Washington, D.C. / St. Anselm's Abbey) took 11th in 200-meter dash in a season-best time of 21.80.

The 4x100-meter relay team of sophomore Troy Robinson (Akron/Garfield), Ben Beidleman, senior Issac Baker (Lithia, Fla./Newsome) and junior Michael Beidleman (Washington, D.C. /St. Anselm's Abbey) finished sixth in a season-best time of 41.71 seconds, which is the 13th fastest time in Division III.

BW is back in action on Friday, May 8 when competitors travel to Meadville, Pennsylvania to compete at the Gator Invitational hosted by Allegheny College.
