Yellow Jacket Men's Track Team Seventh after Day 1 of OAC Championships

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team stand in seventh place after the first of the two-day 2015 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by the University of Mount Union inside Mount Union Stadium.

The Yellow Jackets scored 18 points and stand seventh of 10 teams.  John Carroll leads with 63 points.

Senior decathlete Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) tied for second in the pole vault with a vault of 15 feet and five inches and tied fourth in the long jump with a career-best leap of 21' 10" .  Eddy now has earned fourth career outdoor All-OAC honor.

In addition, sophomore thrower Matt Anielski (Seven Hills/Normandy) placed sixth in the discus with toss of 137' 3".  Freshman thrower Zak Dysert took seventh in the javelin with a career-best throw of 153'9".

BW is back in action on Saturday, April 25 for the second and final day of competition at the OAC Championships.  Field events start at 10 a.m. with running events slated to begin at 2:30 p.m.
