Ben Beidleman Earns First Career OAC Indoor Track Weekly Honor

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University junior All-American sprinter Ben Beidleman (Washington D.C./ St. Anselm's Abbey) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week.

Beidleman earns his first career OAC indoor weekly honor after he won one individual and one relay title and placed second in one individual event and one relay event at the season-opening BW Mid-January Meet last Friday on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center.   He won the 55-meter dash in a time of 6.64 seconds was second in the 200-meter dash in Dillard Track record time of 22.64 seconds. Beidleman anchored the winning 4x200-meter relay team in a time of 1:31.49 and anchored the second place 4x400-meter relay team in 3:31.96. Beidelman's time of 22.64 ranks 17th in Division III in the 200 meters.
 
The Yellow Jacket indoor track and field teams are back in action this Friday, January 30 when they host the OAC North Split Meet on the Dillard Track at 4 p.m.
