Men’s Basketball Announces 2016-17 Schedule

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team under the direction of second-year Head Coach Tom Heil opens the 2016-17 season on Tuesday, November 15 when it travels to Cleveland for a non-conference game against cross-town rival Case Western Reserve University in the Horsburgh Gymnasium inside the Veale Center at 7:30 p.m. 

The scheduled features two tournaments highlighted by the inaugural BW Holiday Invitational on December 29-30.  The Yellow Jackets will also compete in the Dan Greene Memorial Invitational hosted by St. Mary's (Md.) College on November 19-20.

BW plays non-league homes games against Trine (Ind.) University on November 26 at 5 p.m., the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg (Pa.) on December 14 at 7 p.m. and Adrian (Mich.) College in the first game of the BW Holiday Invitational on December 29 at 6 p.m.  The Yellow Jackets will face either Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Ind.) or Medaille (N.Y.) College in the consolation or championship game on December 30 at 3 or 7 pm.

BW opens Ohio Athletic Conference play on Saturday, December 3 when it hosts defending OAC regular season champion Marietta in the Ursprung Gymnasium at 3 p.m.

The OAC Tournament is slated for February 20-25.

The Yellow Jackets finished the 2015-16 season with an overall record of 16-11 and a fourth place finish in the OAC standings with a mark of 10-8.  The Yellow Jackets advanced to the OAC Tournament semifinals for the second straight season.
