Brandy and Battle Earn Academic All-OAC Honors

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball senior guard Zack Brandy (Hudson) and sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference guard Jay Battle (Gahanna/Lincoln) have been named to the 2017 Academic All-OAC team. 

In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and maintain varsity status.

Brandy, who earns his third career Academic All-OAC honor, is a finance major who carries a 3.73. He is also a Dean's list student and a member of the Alpha Lambda and Chi Sigma Alpha honor societies. Brandy started in all 28 games and averaged 7.1 points per game.

Battle, who earns his first Academic All-OAC accolade, is a History major and carries a 3.50 grade point average. He is also a Dean's List student and a member of the Alpha Lambda Honor honor society. Battle was an All-OAC honorable mention this season, averaged 12.3 points per game and led the team with 91 assists and 28 steals.
