Today's Game --  The Baldwin Wallace University Yellow Jacket football team is looking for its third staright win as it hosts Wilmington College on on the 38th Annual Lee Tressel Shrine Classic.

Series Notes --  BW and Wilmington are meeting for the 17th time on the gridiron with the Yellow Jackets holding an 13-3 series lead, including six straight victories and a 56-17 triumph last season in Wilmington. During that span, BW has outscored the Quakers, 300-55. The series began in 1922 with the Wilmington defeating the Yellow Jackets, 16-7, in Berea. The last Wilmington win came in 2008 when it beat the Yellow Jackets, 27-21, in Wilmington.

Last Meeting -- The last time BW and Wilmington met on October 18, 2014, the Yellow Jackets defeated the Quakers by a final score of 56-17.   BW outgained Wilmington in total yards by a margin of 413-346 in total yards.  The Quakers held an 257-242 advantage on the ground but the Yellow Jackets won the aerial attack by a count of 171-89.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week five of the season, BW scored 38 points on 254 passing yards, 160 rushing yards and 414 total yards. Marietta was held scoreless on 203 passing yards, 110 rushing yards and 213 total yards. 

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders

Offensively, BW senior quarterback Tyler Moeglin (Canton /St. Thomas Aquinas) has completed 72 of 114 passes for 835 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions. He also tops the team in rushing with 421 yards on 88 attempts with a team-high seven TD's. Senior running back Isaac Reed III (Lehigh Acres, Fla./ Lehigh) is second in rushing 236 yards on 47 attempts with a TD. Sophomore  running back Austin Smith (Broadview Heights/North Royalton), who is also the punter, is third with 166 yards on 43 attempts with three TD's. Junior wide receiver Bryon Cook (Tallmadge) tops the receiving corps with 20 receptions for 274 yards and five TD's.  Junior wide out Tyler Wolf (Fremont/ Ross) is second with 14 grabs for 215 yards

Defensively, sophomore linebacker Sam Groff (Waynesburg/Sandy Valley) leads the team in tackles with 44.  Junior defensive back Brock Hull (Youngstown/Boardman) is second with 35 stops. Senior defensive linemen Jake Mauer (Brunswick) and sophomore linebacker Sean Nischwitz (Clinton/Green) are third with 33 tackles.  Sophomore strong safety Theodore Washington (Orlando, Fla. /First Academy) is fourth with 29 tackles.   Junior defensive end Andy Schultz (North Royalton) leads the team with four sacks.

Scouting the Quakers
In weekfive of the season, Wilmington scored 14 points on 196 yards passing, 14 rushing yards and 210 total yards. John Carroll University scored 62 points on 358 yards passing, 208 rushing yards and 567 total yards.

Quakers Statistical Leaders
Offensivley, sophmore quarterback Luke Creditt has completed 54 of 109 passes for 713 yards with three TD's and five interceptions. He also has rushed for 82 yards on 35 attempts. Sophomore running back Chase Manica leads the rushing attacke with 221 yards on 41 attempts with a TD. Senior wide out Justin Lee tops the receiving corps with 30 grabs for 367 yards and two TD's.   Sophomore WR Brandon Mitchell is second with 17 catches for 352 yards and three TD's.  

Defensively, senior linebacker Nick Williams tops the squad in tackles with 49 and has one sack, two fumble recoveries and three pass break-ups. Senior defensive back Tarrell Starckey is second with 32 stops and has one sack and three pass break-ups.  Junior defensive lineman David Henry is third with 40 but leads the team in sacks with 2.5.
