Today's Game --  The Baldwin Wallace University Yellow Jacket football team hits the road for the final time in 2015 as it travels to Alliance for an OAC game against No. 1 the University of Mount Union in Mount Union Stadium.   The Yellow Jackets are seeking their seventh straight win and first victory in Alliance since 1994.   The Purple Raiders look to extend their regular season winning streak to 102 games and their home winning streak to 92 games.

Series Notes --  BW and Mount Unionl have met 53 times on the gridiron with Mount Union holding an 31-21-1 all-time series lead, including 20 straight victories. The series began in 1896 with the Yellow Jackets defeating the Purple Raiders, 10-0, in Alliance.  A year ago, the Purple Raiders beat BW, 59-3, in Berea. The last Yellow Jackets win came in 1994 when it beat Mount Union, 23-10, in Alliance.

Last Meeting -- The last time BW and Mount Union met on November 8, 2014, the Purple Raiders defeated the Yellow Jackets by a final score of 59-3.   Mount Union outgained BW in total yards by a margin of 543-148.  The Purple Raiders won the ground attack and aerial assault by counts of 223-61 and 320-87, respectively.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week eight of the season, BW won its sixth straight game and scored a season-high 56 points on 185 passing yards, a season-best 383 rushing yards and season-high tying 568 total yards. Capital scored 20 points on 152 passing yards, 215 rushing yards and 366 total yards. 

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders

Offensively, BW senior quarterback Tyler Moeglin (Canton /St. Thomas Aquinas) has completed 130 of 183 passes for 1,512 yards with 11 TD's and just two interceptions. He also leads the team in rushing with 713 yards on 122 attempts with a team-high 11 TD's. Senior running back Issac Reed III (Lehigh Acres, Fla./ Lehigh) is second in rushing with 435 yards on 73 attempts with six TD's. Sophomore  running back Austin Smith (Broadview Heights/North Royalton), who is also the punter, is third with 370 yards on 71 attempts and four TD's. Junior wide receiver Bryon Cook (Tallmadge) tops the receiving corps with 27 catches for 400 yards and five TD's. Junior wide out Trevor George (Aliquippa, Pa./ Carlyton) is second 25 grabs for 217 yards and one TD

Defensively, sophomore linebacker Sam Groff (Waynesburg/Sandy Valley) leads the team in tackles with 58.  Sophomore linebacker Sean Nischwitz (Clinton/Green) is second with 57 tackles and has one sack.  Junior defensive back Brock Hull (Youngstown/Boardman) is third with 47 stops and leads the team with two interceptions.  Senior defensive linemen Jake Mauer (Brunswick) and senior linebacker Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside) are tied for fourth with 46 stops. Junior defensive end Andy Schultz (North Royalton) leads the team with four and a half sacks.

Scouting the Purple Raiders
In week eight of the season, Mount Union scored 55 points as it rushed for 303 yards, passed for 299 yards and had 602 total yards. Otterbein University was held scoreless for the second time as it was held to a season-low 44 total yards of offense.  The Cradinals only mustered 25 yards passing and 19 yards rushing.

Purple Raider Statistical Leaders
Offensivley, senior quarterback Taurice Scott has completed 110 of 174 passes for 1,781 yards with 20 TD's and just one interception. He also is third in rushing with 457 yards on 50 attempts and nine TD's. Senior running back Logan Nemeth leads the rushing attack with 711 rushing yards on 95 attempts with 16 TD's.  Junior running back Bradley Mitchell is second with with 571 yards on 72 attempts with eight TD's.  Junior wide receiver Tim Kennedy leads the receiving corps with 41 catches for 560 yards and two TD's.

Defensively,  senior defensive lineman Tom Lally, the  2014 OAC Defensive Lineman of the Year, leads the team in tackles with 42, tackles for loss with 14, sacks with nine and a half and forced fumbles with two.  Senior linebacker Jonathan Gonell is second with 39 stops, including 7.5 for loss and has one and half sacks.   Senior defensive back Alex Kocheff, the 2014 OAC Defensive Back of the Year, is third with 32 tackles.
