Today's Game --  The Baldwin Wallace University Yellow Jacket football team returns to the friendly confines of Tressel Field as it hosts an Ohio Athletic Conference game against Capital University on Professor Appreciation Day.

Series Notes --  BW and Capital have met 46 times on the gridiron with the Yellow Jackets holding a 35-11 series lead. The series began in 1928 when the Crusaders defeated BW, 19-0, in Columbus. A year ago, the Yellow Jackets beat Capital, 48-14, for its third straight win versus the Crusaders. Capital last beat BW, 14-11, in Berea in 2011.

Last Meeting -- The last time BW and Otterbein met on November 1, 2014, the Yellow Jackets defeated the Crusaders by a final score of 48-14.   BW outgained Capital in total yards by a margin of 567-362.  The Yellow Jackets held an impressive 297-40 advantge through the air.  The Crusaders won the ground attack by a margin of 322-270.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week seven of the season, BW scored a season-high 55 points on 347 passing yards, 221 rushing yards and 568 total yards. Otterbein scored 21 points on 241 passing yards,136 rushing yards and 377 total yards. 

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders

Offensively, BW senior quarterback Tyler Moeglin (Canton /St. Thomas Aquinas) has completed 113 of 164 passes for 1,327 yards with nine TD's and just two interceptions. He also tops the team in rushing with 563 yards on 111 attempts with nine TD's. Senior running back Issac Reed III (Lehigh Acres, Fla./ Lehigh) is second in rushing with 389 yards on 68 attempts with five TD'sSophomore  running back Austin Smith (Broadview Heights/North Royalton), who is also the punter, is thirdeith 266 yards on 66 attempts and three TD's. Junior wide receiver Bryon Cook (Tallmadge) tops the receiving corps with 27 catches for 400 yards and five TD's. Junior wide out Trevor George (Aliquippa, Pa./ Carlyton) is second with 20 catches for 197 yards and one TD.

Defensively, sophomore linebacker Sam Groff (Waynesburg/Sandy Valley) leads the team in tackles with 50.  Sophomore linebacker Sean Nischwitz (Clinton/Green) is second with 49 tackles and has one sack.  Junior defensive back Brock Hull (Youngstown/Boardman) is third with 43 stops and leads the team with two interceptions.  Senior defensive linemen Jake Mauer (Brunswick) and senior linebacker Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside) are tied for fourth with 40 stops. Junior defensive end Andy Schultz (North Royalton) leads the team with four and a half sacks.

Scouting the Crusaders
In week seven of the season, Capital was held scoreless for the first time as it rushed for 111 yards, passed for 59 yards and had 170 total yards. John Carroll University scored 48 points on 331 yards passing, 273 rushing yards and 604 total yards.

Crusader Statistical Leaders
Offensivley, sophomore quarterback Nick Iske has completed 34 of 58 passes for 375 yards with one TD. He also has run for 214 yards and two TD's. He also has rushed for 127 yards on 43 attempts with a TD. Sophomore quarterback Zak Sheridan has completed 11 of 25 passes for 136 yards. He is second in rushing with 320 yards and two TD's.  Junior running back Brent Walton tops the team with 624 rushing yards on 91 attempts with nine TD's. Senior wide out Jake Skelton tops the receiving corps with 16 catches for 155 yards. 

Defensively, freshman defensive back J.R. Garrigo tops the team with 55 tackles.  Sophomore linebacker Derek Elbon is second with 41 stops and sophomore linebacker Tim Seifert is third with 36 tackles.
