Today's Game --  The Baldwin Wallace University Yellow Jacket football team plays its second home contest of the season as it hosts Marietta College on Homecoming.

Series Notes --  BW and Marietta have met 37 times on the gridiron with the Yellow Jackets holding a 32-5 series lead, including eight straight wins. The series began in 1974 when BW defeated the Pioneers, 73-0, in Berea. A year ago, the Yellow Jackets beat Marietta, 40-33, at Don Drumm Stadium. During the eight game winning streak, BW has outscored the Pioneers, 296-105.  The last Marietta win was a 37-31 overtime victory in 2006.

Last Meeting -- The last time BW and Marietta met on October 11, 2014, the Yellow Jackets defeated the Pioneers by a final score of 40-33.   Marietta outgained BW in total yards by a margin of 412-348 in total yards.  The Pioneers held an 250-93 advantage in the air but the Yellow Jackets won the ground attack by a count of 255-162.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week four of the season, BW scored 34 points on 215 passing yards, 205 rushing yards and 420 total yards. Muskingum scored 28 points on 329 passing yards, 120 rushing yards and 449 total yards. 

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders

Offensively, BW senior quarterback Tyler Moeglin (Canton /St. Thomas Aquinas) has completed 57 of 92 passes for 613 yards with four TD's and two interceptions. He also tops the team in rushing with 406 yards on 78 attempts with a team-high six TD's.  Senior running back Isaac Reed III (Lehigh Acres, Fla./ Lehigh) is second in rushing with 38 carries for 187 yards and a TD. Sophomore  running back Austin Smith (Broadview Heights/North Royalton) is third in rushing with 137 yards on 36 attempts with three TD's. Junior wide receiver Bryon Cook (Tallmadge), who caught a career-high nine passes a week ago, tops the receiving corps with 18 receptions for 223 yards and three TD's. Junior wide out Tyler Wolf (Fremont/ Ross) is second with 11 receptions for 178 yards.

Defensively, sophomore linebacker Sam Groff (Waynesburg/Sandy Valley) leads the team in tackles with 36.  Senior defensive linemen Jake Mauer (Brunswick) and junior defensive back Brock Hull (Youngstown/Boardman) are tied for second with 28 stops. Sophomore linebacker Sean Nischwitz (Clinton/Green) is third with 27 and sophomore strong safety Theodore Washington (Orlando, Fla. /First Academy) is fourth with 23 tackles.   Junior defensive end Andy Schultz (North Royalton) leads the team with three sacks

Scouting the Pioneers
In week four of the season, Marietta scored 34 points on 172 yards passing, 157 rushing yards and 329 total yards. Wilmington College scored 14 points on 93 yards passing, 110 rushing yards and 203 total yards.

Pioneer Statistical Leaders
Offensivley, senior quarterback Jake Lucas Havens has completed 54 of 107 passes for 609 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions, He also has rushed the ball 30 times for 91 yards. Sophomore running back Nick O'Neal is the top rusher with with 292 yards on 74 attempts with two TD's. Junior running back Roger Bush is the second leading rusher with 227 yards on 50 attempts with five TD's and is tied for second in receptions with 10 receptions for 146 yards. Sophomore wide out Clay Moorefield tops the receiving corps with seven catches for 144 yards 

Defensively, senior All-OAC linebacker Daryl DeWindt tops the squad in tackles with 36. Junior defensive back Corey Hunsberger is second with 32 stops while freshman linebacker Jeremy Prattis third with 29 tackles.  Junior defensive linemand Aaron Johnson leads the team with two sacks.
