Murphy Wins Inter-Regional Rumble; Women's Cross Country Takes 14th Place

OBERLIN, Ohio - Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Confernce selection Hope Murphy (Mogadore) wins the Inter-Regional Rumble as the Baldwin Wallace women's cross country team finishes 14th on Oberlin College Cross Country Course. 

BW placed 14th of 32 teams with a total of 416 points. John Carroll University takes home the win with 70 points.

BW was led in the 6K event by:

  • Murphy captured her fourth season invitational win as she placed 1st out of 281 runners at a time of 21:54.5.
  • Sophomore Cassie Kolonchuk (Canal Winchester) finished 82nd in a time of 24:06.8
  • Junior Academic All-OAC performer Maddie Miller (Medina) placed 89th in a time of 24:14.1.
  • Junior Jensen Wolfe (Somerset / Sheridan) finished 137th with a time of 25:02.0
  • Freshman Katie Plecko (Ravenna / Rootstown) placed 145th in a time of 25:15.8

The Yellow Jackets will return to the course on Saturday, October 29 when it travels to New Concord to compete in the OAC Championships hosted by Muskingum University.
