Murphy Gains First Career OAC Runner of the Week Accolade

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – For the first time in her career, Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Hope Murphy (Mogadore) has been selected as the OAC Runner of the Week. 

BW competed at the Wittenberg Invitational, where the team placed third as the former OAC Runner of the Year, Murphy placed first out of 96 runners with a 6k time of 22:58.8. Not only did she win this week but captured back-to-back wins as she won the Wooster Invitational the previous week with a 4k time of 14:40.1. She was first out of 90 runners with a variety of Division I, II and III schools in attendance. 

The Yellow Jackets will return to the course on Friday, September 16th when they travel to Cedarville to compete in the All-Ohio Championships on the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.
