Murphy Wins Wooster Invitational; Women's Cross Country Starts the 2022 Season

WOOSTER, Ohio – Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Confernce selection Hope Murphy (Mogadore) wins the annual College of Wooster Invitational on the L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course. The Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country team starts the 2022 season strong. 

BW was led in the 4K event by:

  • Murphy won the invitational out of 90 runners at a time of 14:40.1, this is her second career win. 
  • Junior Academic All-OAC performer Maddie Miller (Medina) placed 24th in a time of 17:09.8.
  • Sophomore Cassie Kolonchuk (Canal Winchester) finished 29th in a time of 17:21.4
  • Sophomore Jaelyn Jaquay (Cherry Valley, N.Y. / Springfield Central) placed 30th in time of 17:24.9
  • Freshman Charlotte Jones ( Brecksville / Brecksville-Broadview Heights) finished 32nd in a time of 17:37.9

The Yellow Jackets will return to the course on Saturday, September 10th when they travel to Springfield to compete in the Wittenberg Invitational on the Clark County Fairgrounds.
