Women's Cross Country Finished Fourth at OAC Championships

NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country team finished in fourth place at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Muskingum University on Moorehead Farm.

BW placed fourth of 10 teams with a total of 120 points. John Carroll University takes home the win with 36 points.

BW was led in the 6K event by:

  • Sophomore All-OAC selection Hope Murphy (Mogadore) placed seventh in a time of 23:31.6, she earns her second career All-OAC first team selection for placing in the top nine runners.
  • Sophomore Cassie Kolonchuk (Canal Winchester) finished 24th in a time of 24:39.8
  • Sophomore Jaelyn Jaquay (Cherry Valley, N.Y. / Springfield Central) finished 35th in a time of 25:30.5
  • Junior Academic All-OAC performer Maddie Miller (Medina) placed 41th in a time of 25:59.9 
  • Junior Jensen Wolfe (Somerset / Sheridan) finished 46th with a time of 26:14.9

The Yellow Jackets will return to the race course on Saturday, November 12 when they travel to Holland, Michigan to compete in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships on Three Fires Golf Course, hosted by Hope College.
