Women's Tennis Drops Non-Conference Match to Wooster

MEDINA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team fell to the College of Wooster 9-0, at the Paramount Tennis Club.

BW (1-6 overall) suffered three doubles losses to open the match. The duo of junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC Ashtyn Morris (Salem) and junior two-time All-OAC Jayde Robinson (Cincinnati/School for Creative & Performing Arts) managed an 8-2 score in No. 1 doubles. Senior Academic All-OAC Becca Liebler (Medina) and junior Academic All-OAC Emma Hubbard (Ortonville, Mich./Brandon) also notched an 8-2 defeat in No. 2 doubles.

In No. 1 singles Morris won the first set with a 6-3 score, before dropping the second set 7-6. In the tie-breaker, the junior fell to a 10-5 tilt. Robinson took No. 2 singles to all three sets by securing the first set to a 6-2 margin and dropping the second set 7-5. In the tie-breaker, she suffered a 10-6 defeat.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday, March 9 when they open their spring break trip in Orlando, Florida against Immaculata (Pa.) University.
