Women's Tennis Drops Two at Nancy & Harvey Heath Invitational

MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team dropped a pair of non-conference matches at the Nancy & Harvey Heath Gator Invitational, hosted by Allegheny (Pa.) College, to conclude the fall portion of the schedule. 

BW (1-4) fell to NCAA Division ll opponent Fairmont State (W. Va.) University, 0-9 in the opening match. The duo of senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Becca Liebler (Medina) and junior two-time All-OAC Jayde Robinson (Cincinnati/School for Creative & Performing Arts) had the closest doubles match at 8-2, in No. 1 singles.

In singles, freshman Kailin Breedlove (Parma) had scores of 6-2 and 6-4 at No. 5 singles.

In the second match against Ohio Athletic Conference opponent, Ohio Northern University, the Yellow Jackets fell 2-6. The combination of Liebler and Robinson secured No. 1 doubles with a final of 8-4.

Robinson won her No. 1 singles match by scores of 6-2 and 6-1.

This Invitational concludes the fall portion of the 2019-20 schedule. BW will be back in action on Saturday February, 8 against Oberlin College at 10 am.
