Women's Tennis Falls to Oberlin to Start Spring Schedule

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team opened its spring portion of the schedule with an away contest against Oberlin College in the Heisman Fieldhouse inside the Philips Physical Education Center 

BW (1-5) fell by a final score 9-0 as it dropped the all three doubles matches to start the match. The duo of junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC Ashtyn Morris (Salem) and senior Academic All-OAC Becca Liebler (Medina) managed an 8-5 score line in No. 1 doubles for the closest match.

In No. 1 singles, Morris fell to scores of 6-3 and 6-2. Junior Academic All-OAC Emma Hubbard (Ortonville, Mich./Brandon) dropped the No. 3 singles match by consecutive 6-2 scores.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday, February 8 when they host a non-conference match against The College of Wooster at the Paramount Tennis Club in Medina at 3 p.m. Fans can follow all of the action via live results at http://www.bwyellowjackets.com/x/08bdp
