Women's Tennis Tops Immaculata (Pa.) to Open Spring Break Trip

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team defeated Immaculata (Pa.) University by a 5-4 score, at the USTA National Campus.

BW (2-6 overall, 0-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) fell behind 2-1 in doubles. The combination of junior Academic All-OAC and All-OAC Ashtyn Morris (Salem) and junior two-time All-OAC Jayde Robinson (Cincinnati/School for Creative & Performing Arts) won No. 2 doubles with an 8-1 tilt.

Robinson seized No. 2 singles with 6-4, 6-2 scores. Senior Academic All-OAC Becca Liebler (Medina) claimed No. 3 singles with a 7-5, 6-4 score line. Freshman Elizabeth Cole (Shaker Heights) took No. 4 singles with 6-4, 6-1 line and junior Academic All-OAC Emma Hubbard (Ortonville, Mich./Brandon High School) won No. 5 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 score.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action tomorrow when they challenge Washington (Md.) College at 8:30 a.m and Marywood (Pa.) University at 3:30 p.m.
