Women Swimming and Diving Teams Fall To Mount Union

ALLIANCE, OHIO --
The Baldwin-Wallace College women's swimming and diving teams both dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet to the University of Mount Union, today, (Saturday, November 19, 2011) in the Hammond Natatorium inside the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.

The Purple Raider women beat the B-W women, 138-83.

With the loss, the Yellow Jacket women are now 2-4 overall and 2-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

The B-W women were led by four-time NCAA Division III All-American junior diver Julie Pinter (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) as she won the 1-meter voluntary event with 185.75  points and the 1-meter optional event with 265.75 points.

In addition to Pinter, sophomore Angela Musille (Canton/ GlenOak) won the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:32.60. The 200-yard freestyle relay team comprised of senior Danielle Miller (Van Wert), sophomores Emily Deaton (Spanaway, Wash./ Graham-Kapowsin) and Kayla Miller (Van Wert) and freshman Kayla Eyster (Canton, Mich./ Plymouth-Canton) won in a time of 1:53.08.

The Yellow Jackets will next travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan to compete in the Calvin College Winter Invitational on December 1-3. The next home meet is on Friday, Jan. 13 when B-W hosts Ohio Wesleyan University in the B-W Natatorium at 4:00 p.m.
