Women Swimming & Diving Teams Fall to John Carroll University

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OHIO –
The Baldwin-Wallace College women's swimming and diving teams fell to host John Carroll University today (Saturday, January 28, 2012) at the William H. Johnson Natatorium .

The Yellow Jacket women lost to JCU, 142-90. With these loses, the B-W women are now 4-7 overall and 2-3 in the OAC.

The women were led by sophomore Angela Musille (Canton/GlenOak) who finished first in both the 400-yard individual medley and the 200-yard breaststroke with times of 4:59.63 and 2:32.27, respectively. Also for the women, four-time NCAA Division III All-American junior diver Julie Pinter (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) won the 1-meter event with 325.90 points, and won the 3-meter event with 344.35. The womens 200-yard medley relay team consisting of sophomores Emma Gerdes (Avon), Musille, Kayla Miller (Van Wert), and junior Kelsey Richards (Wadsworth), placed first in a time of 1:55.48.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on February 16-18, 2012 in the 2012 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship at University of Akron at the Oliver J. Ocasek Natatorium.
