INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -- Baldwin-Wallace College junior NCAA Division III All-American diver Julie Pinter (Broadview Hts./ Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) placed fourth tonight (Saturday, March, 24, 2012) in the three-meter diving competition at the Division III National Championship Meet. With her fourth place finish, Pinter earned her sixth All-American honor (three in the one-meter event and three at three meters).

"I am very happy with my fourth place finish and becoming a six-time All-American," said Pinter, who carries an outstanding 3.8 grade point average in communication disorders and is a candidate for CAPITAL ONE Academic All-America honors. "I have set the goal to become a National Champion and I am going to continue to work hard next year to achieve my goal."

"I was very thrilled with where Julie finished tonight and I am very proud of the way she competed," said Yellow Jacket veteran diving coach Tim Croy, who was named NCAA Division III Co-Diving Coach of the Year. "This was Julie's best and most complete performance at National's yet."

Pinter, who owns four of five Yellow Jacket diving records, including both the one and three-meter championship marks, scored 463.65 points that earned her a fourth place finish. The 463.65 points marked Pinter's most points scored at the NCAA Division III National Meet. As a sophomore in 2011, she finished sixth with 399.80 points and was fifth as a freshman in 2010 with 435.30 points.

On Thursday, Pinter earned her fifth All-American award when she finished as the Div. III national runner-up in the 1-meter event with 448.75 points. That followed a fourth place showing as a sophomore and a seventh place finish as a freshman.

"I love representing B-W and being a part of the school as a student-athlete," said Pinter. "I want to come back next year (to the National Championships) and do just as well."
