GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's swimming and diving teams competed on day one (Thursday, December 1) of the Calvin College Winter Invitational at the Venema Aquatic Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The women's quartet of junior Kelsey Richards (Wadsworth), sophomores Emma Gerdes (Avon) and Caitlin Wilson (Wycombe, Pa./Council Rock North) and freshman Kayla Eyster (Canton, Mich./ Plymouth-Canton) placed 19th in a time of 8:46.64 in the 800-yard free relay. In the 1650-yard freestyle senior Danielle Miller (Van Wert) placed 28th as she finished in a time of 19:47.07.

Day two prelims begin at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow with finals slated to start to 6 p.m. The meet wraps up on Saturday with start times once again at 10:00 a.m. and finals beginning at 6:00 p.m.
