Women Swimming & Diving Teams Compete on Final Day of Calvin Invitational

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN --
The Baldwin-Wallace College women's swimming and diving teams competed in the final day (Saturday, December 3) of the Calvin College Winter Invitational at the Venema Aquatic Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The Yellow Jacket women were led by four-time NCAA Division III All-American junior diver Julie Pinter (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) who placed second overall in the 1-meter dive with a score of 416.85. Also for the women, the 200-yard medley relay team consisting of sophomores Emma Gerdes (Avon), Angela Musille (Canton/GlenOak), freshman Carli Dugan (Mentor), and junior Kelsey Richards (Wadsworth) finished 16th overall in a time of 1:56.12. Gerdes also placed 12th overall in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:15.45. Musille also placed 16th overall in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:32.44.

Both teams next meet is on New Years Day, January 1st at Florida Meet in Sarasota, Fla. vs. Kenyon, Washington (Mo.) and U.S. Coast Guard Academy. The next home meet is on January 13th at 4:00 p.m. in the B-W Natatorium at The Lou Higgins Center.
